Books You Need on Divorce (& What's Next) πŸ“š

If you're on the divorce journey, it can can seem overwhelming. But you're not alone. Many have written about separation and what's next, and I share a few of their books with you here. These authors range from attorneys to psychotherapists - from humor writers to the Dalai Lama.

I particularly wish to highlight books by Vermont authors Kimberly Harrington and Nanci Smith. I've met them, and let's just say I'm unashamedly a #FanGirl.

Untangling Your Marriage: A Guide to Collaborative Divorce

Nanci A. Smith

Collaborative divorce offers a different, more peaceful path to ending a marriage; this book shows you how to do it.

I interview Nanci in my course Fresh Start; she's such a thoughtful compassionate attorney. And we both apparently have a penchant for purple?

But You Seemed So Happy: A Marriage, in Pieces and Bits

Kimberly Harrington

An honest, intimate biography of a marriage, from its heady, idealistic, and easy beginnings to it slowly coming apart and finally to its evolution into something completely unexpected.

If you aren't already, check out Kimberly's essays on Substack. Also her So You Just Announced Your Divorce Bingo.
