The PurplCouch Story
The company name was inspired by founder Sarah Lyman’s own divorce journey. When furnishing her new apartment after separating from her husband, she suddenly realized she didn’t need anyone else’s input on the furniture, and bought a velour purple couch - and named her business after it. “PurplCouch is a symbol of the empowerment we get when we look forward,” Lyman says, “and write the next chapter of our lives.”

This video course features interviews with divorce pros including an attorney, financial planner, tax preparer, couple and family therapist, and a child psychologist to learn the legal, financial, and emotional information folks need to be more empowered. Ultimately, we work toward shifting the mindset from "failed marriage" to "fresh start."
